PlainQuake tracks 317,293 magnitude-4+ earthquakes across 187 countries and 39 US states since 2005, all sourced from the USGS Comprehensive Earthquake Catalog (ComCat).

Indonesia leads every country with 37,915 M4+ events since 2005; Alaska alone accounts for 8,996 US events, more than all other states combined. 14,444 events (4.6%) reached significant M6+ strength. Counts are live database totals, not editorial estimates.
